Woofer crackling
Hello, I have dell studio 1558 laptop, and am recently facing problem with its sound system. actually its woofers starts crackling when i play anything song or vedio..but its left and right speakers working fine. I have a doubt if its hardware problem or its drivers problem..if its a hardware problem ..can i purchase woofers for dell online and replace..?? will it solve the problem

Hello. You can use the Dell 32 bit Diagnostics to test the speakers. I'm not sure if those tests utilize the woofer or not. If the tests do play music through the woofer, then if it crackles it is bad. If audio is played through the woofer with no crackle, then it's a software issue.
The parts-people is where I would go for older Dell laptop parts. They are used but guaranteed.
