X600 into an M70?
Can anyone tell me whether an ATI Mobility X600 graphics card for a Latitude D810 will fit properly and work correctly in an M70 Precision laptop? The Nvidia FX GO1400 256mb graphics card presently in the M70 has broken, and as the laptop is already about 3-4 years old I feel that it would be better fitting a cheaper card - high-end graphics isn't the prime purpose of this laptop for me.

It should, yes. The two systems are identical internally.
