XPS 13 9350 crashing on restart- can't update drivers or BIOS.

My XPS 13 has been crashing when I restart the computer. It does this occasionally when I restart during normal use, for example when my wifi stops working (which is often). Recently I've been trying to update some intel chipset drivers and the BIOS using the dell support assist program. Each time after the drivers or BIOS is installed the computer will crash during the restart sequence. I have to hold the power button to turn it off then back on. After rebooting the drivers and BIOS have not been updated. This is driving me nuts, can anyone explain how to can fix this??

Additionally, I had a microsoft support guy remote in and try to fix things last night. He supposedly deleted junk files, deleted software distribution, manually updated drivers, and did an in-place upgrade. Still getting the same result when I try to update drivers and BIOS.

Please help, this is supposed to be a premium computer and it's turning into a total lemon...
