XPS 13 Touch (Haswell) i7 - can I install Windows 7 on it

I really want to order the above machine but our office requires we have Windows 7 (only) installed on the machine.

Is this possible?

I don't mean to order the XPS with Windows 7 already installed - I am happy to do that but will everything work ok and are all required drivers available?

Many Tks - Sovvy

Hi Sovvy,

Absolutely. you can put 7 on it. Recommend you visit Dell Community Rockstar Natakuc4's website beforehand since you'll be installing clean. It's the most comprehensive resource for clean home installation and support for Dell systems. Here's that link

Yes, Windows 7 is fully supported on the XPS 13 by Dell.  The drivers are found here:

Just make sure you install the chipset drivers first.

At the link I sent you there's info about ORDER OF INSTALLATION. theflash is right about installing chipset first but beyond that there is a particular order recommended for installation. As an example you'll find details about why installing the Dell System Software 2nd is important...and so on and so forth. Good luck. If this helps please remember to click the yes button. If you need any further assistance don't hesitate to contact.

This system does not have System Software, but when available, it should be installed before the chipset. The order of remaining devices (after xSS/chipset) RARELY makes a difference.
