XPS 15 (L502x) with i7-2860QM - 16GB RAM supported?
Any plan on making this work ? (2x8GB 1333 SO-DIMM DDR3) . since what I can read on Intel this HW supports 16GB RAM....
I guess & hope - it's a BIOS patch

Nope.
The maximum amount of memory that system can use is 8GB (4GBx2).

Is that a hardware limitation or a BIOS limitation?
I remember when I bought my XPS M1530 it could only take 4GB, but after a year or so a new BIOS with support for 8GB arrived.

I imagine that it is a BIOS restriction but I do not know that for a fact.
8GB is all that Dell says will be be supported on that system.

I didn't remove that post but I do remember is. It would not have been removed just because it confirmed that 16GB would work in that model.
I would say that the language that was used violated the TOS that was agreed to.
