XPS 1530 Vista laptop won't install Dell DataSafe

I've an XPS 1530 with Vista 32 Sp2 installed, that I want to create the Dell system recovery media for it.

The installed Dell Support Centre points me to download "Dell DataSafe™ Local Backup" to do this. The website confirms my system will run the software (as it well above the minimum requirements), and allows me to download the basic version, which 'supposedly' supported by Vista. When I come to run this, not long after starting it reports "Dell DataSafe Local Backup can only be installed on system running Microsoft Windows 7"

Very annoying... is there an older version of the software I can get hold of, that will actually work with Vista?
