XPS 15Z Refuses to Start
Hey all,
I have a XPS 15Z that is just over 2 years old. It no longer wants to start. When I push the power button, the white light behind the power button comes on, the orange "charging" light blinks twice, the optical drive makes some noise, and then everything shuts off---all within about a second.
Holding down FN + power button doesn't do anything.
Unfortunately, the battery is not easily accessible, so is there anything else I should try before I unscrew the back cover to pull the battery?
It's been about 1.5 months since I last used the computer, and it worked ok then (other than the part of the backlight on my screen going out for the 2nd time and my video card overheating every 20 minutes of photoshop work)
Thanks,
Danel

I took the back cover off and removed the battery. I held down the power button with the battery and power cord disconnected to perform the static discharge (or whatever it's called). Still nothing.
Any ideas, or should I just ditch Dell forever?
