XPS 9530 with swollen battery

I have an XPS 15 model 9530 with a swollen battery.  Obviously a defect in material and workmanship. I know that it is out of warranty, but this is just wrong. For what I paid for this laptop, I should not have to be worrying about my touchpad being destroyed by a swollen battery. I read the blogs, this is a common problem and I would like to know what you are going to do about it.  Will you stand behind your product if you are in the wrong?

Get the battery OUT of the system NOW if it's swelling.  While Dell may or may not eventually agree to replace batteries out of warranty, they just about certainly WILL NOT cover damage to the system caused by leaving a clearly defective battery in the system.

All you can do is ask - or wait and see.

They need to be more worried at this point.  It is only a matter of time.
