XPS M1730 DVDRW not recognized by Roxio

worOne of my users has an XPS M1730 laptop. The DVDRW drive *used* to work fine, but for some reason, it now is no longer recognized by Roxio. When we put a blank CD in, however, Windows (XP Pro, SP3) offers to launch Roxio for us to burn a new project. When Roxio comes up, it says "no target" and there's no option to choose the DVD burner drive. Any idea what happened and how to fix it?

I recall awhile back there was a problem getting WINDOWS to recognize the drive, and there was a Microsoft "FixIt" app that I had to run and that resolved *that* issue, however, now, several months later, Roxio no longer recognizes the drive. :-(
