battery is nt wrking...inapiron 1525

i m using dell inspiron 1525,i purchased it in august 2008.now its battery has suddenly stop wrking..laptop is getting shutdown as power goes.

i wanna know do i need to chnage the battery or thr can be someother prblm in the laptop??
