black screen for Inspiron e1405
Please help,
Just one week after my extended warranty expires, my Inspiron e1405 laptop goes black screen. How unlucky can you get?...
Anyway, Can someone help me what to do to fix it? I could tell it turns on and working but screen show nothing. Since then I have bought another dell laptop but
I like my e1405...

If there's a good image on an external display, contact an LCD repair shop - the backlight or inverter needs repair. Cost should run $100-150.
If there's no image externally either, and you've an nVidia video chip, chances are it has failed - there is a 1-year extension to cover such a failure. See
