Hello, i have two laptops DELL Latitude E6420 with A4 and A5 bios versions.

When I try to update to newer version (A12 or A23), I see information "Bios Update failed."

Is there any solution for me?

Update to A09 first (and note that on some systems, you must have WIndows 8 or lower to run the updater - it won't run under Windows 10).

Unfortunely the lowest version available on Dell website is A12

www.dell.com/.../advanced

On both laptops I'm using Windows 7 64bit

Hi,thanks for quick response.

I saw that file, but I'm afraid that it is for different version of E6420, called XFR?

Every bios file name for my laptop is begining from 6420AXX.exe, but this file is named XFR20A09.exe

I don't want to completly broke down my computer.
