dell xps13 high pitched noise when sleeping and hangs on reboot

Hello,

My name is Benjamin and I have a dell xps13 and I have been experiencing a problem similar to the one described on this page: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19447859/20100205.aspx . Namely, "When the computer is in sleep mode (and the white light at the front of the chassis is flashing), the computer makes a high-pitched whining noise - loud enough to make me put the computer in another room when *I* am trying to sleep, since it's incredibly annoying." And it truly is ingratiating. I have tried many times to fix it. Updated the bios, reset to factory default, etc.

I have another case # involving an issue wherein my computer does not completely shut down or restart. It hangs on the screen that reads "Logging off..." and the loading circle rotates indefinitely. It does this about 90% of the time I try to shut down or restart my computer, even if I have used task manager to ensure all programs have been closed. I am not sure if that issue is related.

If you could help me with this issue, I would really appreciate it.

Sincerely, Benjamin.
