graphic card check

Few days back i purchased dell 15R core i 7 (4thGen) 5537. I checked its graphic card online on various sites which was amd radeon 8870M 2 gb. But after installing graphic drivers from official amd site and even from dell support it shows that i have 8670M 2gb graphic card.

Can you tell me are there any different model comes with 5537 or i just get betrayed by a retailer? If there are any other models with different graphic card models then is there any difference in the prices??

RE: graphic card check

Hi ZeeshanJamal,

Welcome to Dell community.

The Inspiron™ 5537/15R is available with the following integrated and discrete GPU:

Integrated Graphics

Intel HD Graphics 5100/4200/4400

Discrete Graphics

AMD Radeon HD 8670M

AMD Radeon HD 8850M

There are different models also available with Dell having same graphic cards.

Let me know if you need more help and we'll be happy to check.

RE: graphic card check

The 8850 is the faster chip (it's a chip, not a card -- the system does not have a separate video card;  the video chip is part of the mainboard, whichever you've purchased).
