inspirioin N5010

Hi wondering whats gone wrong with my laptop its suddenly showing one of disk needs to be checked for consistency every time at booting up, and now cant connect to any network wired n wireless, warranty has expired so cant get on call tech support, could you help me sort this out, even when any flash  drive is connected it shows in yellow under network adaptor:port(whichever its connected) but am able to use the flash drive,

Hi lhakyi,

I would suggest you to run diagnostics http://bit.ly/11rpNTs to check for any hardware errors. Also go to this link  http://dell.to/19zbTzI and punch in the service tag go to drivers try downloading and installing the realtek drivers for internet. Let me know how it goes.

hi there thanks for your reply, diagnostics didnt give any issues, on the second url you ported i punched in the service tag it shows 8 files under network n 2 under modem/communication should i download all of them and install? i  cant use the laptop so only option is download using a different system dowload n save it a flashdrive then try installing it,

i dun have systems resource/os cd, nor did i created any restore point, also not able to roll back under device manager, i guess i have never called ur tech support in past nor do i remember which email/name/address/phone number i gave at point of purchase
