inspiron 7520 se need information..

hi!! i bought a new laptop inspiron 7520 SE 15r i5 3rd edition.  i want to know is this laptop hae backlight keyboard facility? if it have then how to enable them??

and also i want to chek how to chek my warranty status?

 thnx in advance.

Hi Badal,

This computer has keyboard backlight facility. Here are the steps to enable it.

  1. F6 - Keyboard back light on/off and brightness control
  2. Press < Fn >< F6 > once to turn on the keyboard back light
  3. Press < Fn >< F6 > second time to decrease the brightness of the keyboard back light
  4. Pressing < Fn >< F6 > for the third time turns off the keyboard back light

To check the warranty details of your computer, you can click on the link http://dell.to/UHLk57 . Type the service tag of your computer.

hi!! thnx for your rply.

but when i press fn+f6 my keyboard back light is not enable.

and another thing i want to ask is

  i purchase my leptop through shop yesterday but when i saw my warranty status it says that

and what about kayboard backlight???

i tried to call in c.care but he says your dealer is not included keyboard backlight in order.. now what i do???

Hi Badal,

Thank you for providing the details, I appreciate it. I have checked the configuration of your computer. The warranty is valid till 15th September 2013.
This computer was not purchased with a backlight keyboard. I would request you to contact the dealer/store where the computer was purchased.
You can view the same information on the support site.

  1. Click on the link http://dell.to/UHLk57
  2. Type the service tag
  3. Click on ‘Submit’
  4. Click on ‘System Configuration’
  5. Expand ‘Components’
  6. Look for part no. 65JY3 (this part no. is a non-backlight keyboard)

thnx a lot for your helps my friend thnx a lot. and can you say what is my ghz speed??? in my computer it shows 2.50 bt i ordered 3.1 ghz. so tell me plz.

Hi Badal,

Thank you for your response. This system has 2.5 GHz processor. If you ordered 3.1 GHz, then I would request you to contact the dealer/store for any mismatch in the configuration.

Here is the link to check the order status http://dell.to/QdH9Og .You will be able to see the estimated delivery date once you check the status of the order.
Alternately, you can also the watch the videos on how to look for order status on our support site. Click on the link http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/SupportVideos?c=us&s=dhs&cs=19&l=en  and type “Order ” in the search field and watch the first two videos named “Order status” and “Order Support”. Please try alternate browser if the link does not opens up.
