@ key

Hi All

Bought  a new Dell Inspiron laptop.  Discovered the 2/@ key doesn't work the way it should!  If I want the @ symbol and use this key it gives me the " symbol and vice versa.  Have I selected a language setup wrongly - or is this a genuine problem with the laptop?

Sounds like your system has a USA layout keyboard fitted but the Windows keyboard type is set to UK.  Some other keys such as "#" will be in different places.

Sometimes folks in the UK use US keyboards to repair systems as they are cheaper.

Is this system new from Dell?
