laptop battery is temperorily damaged

 Hello all

I am using dell laptop model N4110 for last 5 years.  Recently I am getting message that battery is temperorily damaged.  It is plugged in but not charging.  I tried  to fix it by removing battery and turning on computer using ac adaptor  and unstalling battery devices and again put battery into it and started but still same problem persists.  Please suggest me

Hi Pradeep,

Thanks for posting.

Batteries are only designed to last about a year to 18 months.  The fact that you got 5 years of use out of yours is exceptional!  Unfortunately your battery has expired and it's time to replace it.  You can find them at Dell Spare Parts using the links I gave, Parts-People.com, or Discount Electronics.

Please be wary of Chinese imitations as they allegedly have caused fires.

Post back if you need additional assistance.

Regards,
Robert
