laptop dvd drive making rattling sound.

hello,

my laptop's dvd/cd drive is making rattling/grinding noise whenever i move the laptop or touch any part near to the cd/dvd drive. I guess it is a hardware problem. How can i stop it from making those sounds? please help! Thanks in advance

The only real solution (assuming it's not a missing screw on the bottom of the system) is to replace the drive.

How much it would cost? i'm done with my warranty period. And this laptop model is more like a plastic box everything is loosely fixed or getting weared off quickly. Previously i got the problem of loose battery compartment, i somehow managed it using tapes! Guess it is a failure model released by Dell(dell vostro15) ., regretting!

A SATA DVD writer should be less than $50 to replace.
