laptop will not start
I have an Inspiron E1705 when I push the power button the battery light flashes once and nothing else happens. No lights, beeps, fans NOTHING
I haven't used this computer very much so it's hard to believe that it could be dead I replaced the battery once since I've owned it but I don't remember it
doing this when the battery was bad. Can someone help, thank in advance for your assistance

Hi sposh,
Please remove the battery and connect only the AC adapter and check if the system powers on. In case the system switches on run the hardware diagnostics follow the steps below.
Shut down the computer press the Fn + power this will initiate the hardware diagnostics. Let us know if there is any error code listed.
