microphone jack not working...

Hello, I just bought the XPS L702X. When I tried to record with a headset and mic set, the mic does not catch any sound.

However, when I unplug the mic jack, recording is fine, but rather far away because the computer is catching my voice, not the headset.

I've tried everything in the troubleshooting but nothing works. I tried downloading the latest drivers and that made it worse. Nothing worked after that,

no audio, no recording... so I had to restore to a previous point. So now I'm still stuck where I began. The mic jack does not work. Is this a hardware problem,

the computer isn't picking up any driver issues. I can see by the forum that many people are having recording issues but no clear solution. If there is

anyone who has any answers at all, please help. Thank you!

Hi,

Welcome to the Community,

In order to fix the issue make sure we have uninstalled the old drivers and the latest Audio drivers have been downloaded from the support website pertaining to the current operating system.

Drivers can be found on the following link on the support.dell.com website.

If let me know in case it fixed the issue?
