multi-language support
I'm working on a Dell R5110 which displays english on the boot screen. Bios screens are also in english. When I try to install Win 7, the installation switches to hebrew and I can not continue ( I don't read hebrew). In my 16 years of reprogramming pc's, I've never ran into this problem before.
Is there a setting in the bios I don't know about which would cause / prevent this? I'm using the standard Dell install disk for Win 7. The original hard drive failed outside of warranty so I can't use the built in restore program. The owner did tell me she was in Isriel for a year and had some pc work done over there, but has no idea what they did other than install a multi-language keyboard (english and hebrew).
Thanks

I am not familiar with the R5110 but I don't think that there is an BIOS option to change the keyboard layout.Somehow Windows must get confused by the multi-language keyboard during installation.
A possible (admittedly stupid) solution to your problem:
Try disconnecting the internal keyboard and connecting a "normal" USB keyboard.

I hope somebody comes up with a better idea.....
