I have the same problem on my XPS M1530. I have found I can run the wifi trouble shooter (right click wifi icon in lower right) and the wifi will connect, even though the results tell me my WIFI line is not connected. I have downloaded latest router firmware (E4200 router) but no change. looking for the next thing to try.
