Hi SHERY96,

Thank you for writing to Dell Community Forum.

Please boot into BIOS and check on the status of the adapter and battery.

Please private message us the service tag of the system in discussion.

Unplug the system, remove the battery and hold the power button for 30 sec.  Check the connector on the battery and the contacts on the mainboard for damage -- if the battery is damaged, replace it.  If the connector for the battery on the mainboard is evidently damaged, replace the mainboard.

If it's not, or there's no evident damage, first thing to do is replace the battery.

i have replaced the battery and adapter. if i plug in charged battery it works without adapter but in bios it still doesn't show the battery. After all the battery power being used, again just have to use it on adapter.

i have reinstall the drivers but nothing works

Hi SHERY96,

The troubleshooting indicates an issue with the motherboard.

We see that the system is also out of warranty.

Please private message us your location so that we can guide you accordingly on the next possible steps.

Hi SHERY96,

As the system is able to use the battery but is unable to charge the battery, it points to a connector issue on the motherboard.

Please private message us the your contact details.
