not booting
hi,i have a dell inspiron 15r n5010 laptop,i have just replaced my motherboard i connected it up to the
power switched on it started to boot, screen stayed black,and 3 beeps, so switched off to check
connections they were all ok,so put back together switched on nothing,the power light keeps
flashing,there are no beeps nothing,if anyone can help much appreciated

Hi Rob4155,
Thanks for posting. Three beeps at startup indicate a systemboard problem.
■chipset Error (North and South bridge error, DMA/IMR/Timer error)
■Time-Of-Day Clock test failure
■Gate A20 failure
■Super I/O chip failure
■Keyboard controller test failure
Please check to see that the motherboard was installed correctly and that all cables and connections are secure. It is possible that the new motherboard is defective.

thanks for that,now i get nothing no beeps,just the flashing power light on laptop
