plugged in , not charging issue
hi,
my dell inspiron 15r 5537 has stopped charging battery i have tried r-calibrate battery tried BIOS updateand many methods my laptop works perfect on AC adapter and with battery too but neither battery is not charging nor light illuminate that indicate battery is charging and i have checked qucikset of battery it shows battery charging Disabled so what should i do please help me.

Does the system recognize the AC adapter or is it showing "unknown"? F2 at powerup to get into UEFI setup to check.

If the system is under warranty, call Dell for repair. If it's not, first thing to do is try a new OEM Dell AC adapter - if that doesn't solve the problem, replace the DC power jack:

And if that doesn't solve the issue, it's the mainboard that's faulty and will need to be replaced.
Without a recognized AC adapter, the battery will not charge.
