problem using bluetooth to hear audio on laptop eventhough it is paired properly

HI.

I just got a new Dell computer (running W7-64) and I am able to pair my handsfree bluetooth to the computer, but it doesn't appear in my audio options under sounds.

The same bluetooth works fine on my previous Dell computer. (W7 -32)

The bluetooth appears as PLT_M165 on both comp, eventhough I think that this isn't the correct model number.

On my old comp under the hardware section of the BT device, I have 3 device functions listed (BT AV, BT Hansfree and BT Remote Control), but on the new one, that section remains blank.

I have uninstalled and installed the device numerous times and still have the same settings and issues

I have tried to compare the sound settings, but the only difference that I see is that my old comp has IDT HD Codec in the speaker properties and this one just has Microsoft HD audio. (Not sure if this really makes a difference.)

Hopefully someone here has had this same kind of issue and can help out.

Tnx

Rob
