problem with 8gb memory upgrade for dell studio xps 1645
Hello,
Recently I bought 2x4 GB RAM Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz for my Dell Studio XPS 1645 (december 2009), i7 1,6GHz.
My problem is that BIOS recognizes it as 2x2GB. Does anybody have the same problem?
Any help would be appreciated.

Try a different brand of memory - it seems Corsair RAM has been having compatibility issues with many Dell systems of late. Crucial guarantees compatibility - and Kingston sells a line of RAM that's certified to work with Dell systems as well.

problem solved - I reinstalled it again and now bios detects it as 8gb.
