"Analyze System For Updates" and "Dell PC Diagnostics" routines fail to evaluate the PC

I had to rebuild my E-6410 with clean install of Windows 7 (64) and all required drivers … after replacing hard drive.  All was going great.  At various stages during the driver installation.. (which is nearly impossible because Dell doesn't show the correct "order" of driver installation)  For several stages during the install.. Dell Diagnostics and Driver requirements worked great.. providing new lists of required drivers.  At some point after installing some chipset drivers,  the "Analyze System For Updates" and "Dell PC Diagnostics" routines failed to evaluate the PC.  They also failed to locate the special program needed to do the analysis .. even tho that program installs .. over and over again.    At this point there appears to be nothing wrong with the PC .. Everything looks to be working fine.. except the Dell support site…   Perhaps a driver was installed in the wrong order? …. Too bad Dell can't be more helpful in this regard.    Especially when there are many DVDs out there claiming to automatically install all the drivers you need, and in the right order … Sigh!     The following site was sorta helpful:  http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/al/en/aldhs1/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=al&l=en&s=dhs&docid=625867     Unfortunately, I found it after viewing the "Drivers and Downloads" site, which lists the required drivers, but says NOTHING about installation order.     By the way.. I tried FireFox, Google Chrome, and IE ver 11. to run the Diagnostics & Updates routines.  So, it's not the browser… :-)

Any ideas why Dell can't evaluate my PC.. when there appears to be nothing wrong with it?   Thanks, Much ..Regards.. Michael

Here are some things that may have fixed it .. it is working now… sigh!

I downloaded "My Dell"  ..   http://www.dell.com/support/contents/us/en/04/article/Product-Support/Self-support-Knowledgebase/software-and-downloads/support-center

I also downloaded "Microsoft .NET Framework 4"   http://www.dell.com/support/contents/us/en/04/article/Product-Support/Self-support-Knowledgebase/software-and-downloads/support-center

At the suggestion of another poster on this subject  .. Ran "My Dell" from start window (print "my Dell" in search programs and click to open .. then select what ever you want, ..diagnostics, required drivers & downloads .. etc.. All works now.

Still … Knowing the "install order" of drivers is critical… good luck finding that information … :-)
