re-installation of XPS 1640 keyboard

SO I was an idiot and spilt a drink on the keyboard of my XPS 1640 keyboard. It resulted in spamming letters at me when i wasn't typing and succeeded in making my life slightly more frustrating. anyway, so i decided to uninstall the keyboard through the use of a USB keyboard.

But instead of cleaning the keyboard out i was content using the uncomfortable usb keyboard.... so i just cleaned out the keyboard on the laptop and i'm wondering whether it should be ok now, but i cant seem to re-install it (i think i left the driver disk at my dorm in another state) and the online driver support doesn't list the keyboard driver (or at least i don't think it does...)

so basically how can i use my keyboard again?

Hi Jimmy,

Welcome to the Community. Is the laptop keyboard working, now that you have cleant the keyboard. There are no drivers for keyboard. If it does not work you will need to replace the keyboard itself.

Thank you

Royan
