same problem with M5010
Just spent an hour on the phone with a dell out of warranty tech, told me it would be in excess of $300 to fix. I told him there was no chance I would pay half of the purchase price to fix it and he came back with a "one time exception from a lead tech" of $179. Even when I told him about this post he argued with me that it was not a common problem with these computers. I politely disagreed and he told me he would "gladly report my feedback" and then asked if there was anything else. Terrible customer service.
