thunderbolt to hdmi not working
I have a dell xps 9550, and bought this for it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X4S5C7G/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It does not do anything, as in I don't get any video on the monitor.

make sure your screen resolution is set properly in display settings. I think it only goes up to a certain setting.

Do you mean, when it shows up, I select a lower resolution? If so, it's not even showing up for me.

Go to your display settings and make sure that it shows up as a second monitor. Also, set your resolution to at least 800X600.

The other monitor does not show up at all for me.
I notice that when I plug the adapter into my phone, the blue light on the adapter comes on. When I plug it into the laptop, it does not come on.
