When the battery is near the end of its lifespan, you will see a popup message to that effect on screen. It may be the battery is OK for now -- but start budgeting for a new battery as it'll be needed soon.

RJARJA,
Where are you getting the message? What all does it say in the message?

It appeared on screen when I went to turn on the system and because I had not initiated any discussion with Dell about 'checking'' the battery, ect, it just didn't seem like the way Dell would do business. I finally just closed the system, disconnected the power cable, then restarted the computer, which went normally, then plugged the power cable back in.... System seems to operate normally this morning.
