why is my order status not upgraded ?

Hi,I got the below email, however my order is still in pre-production ? it should've been shipped by now according to the schedule . and on reddit people ordered it roughly at  same time can see their products in production . I am just wondering if status is accurately reflecting the process ? or it is just a interface that never changed and there is no point to check it at all ?

The order is in pending production,The Estimated ship date of the order is 5th of Oct and the Estimated delivery date is 12th of Oct.Hence on or before 12th of October the order would be delivered to you.

This is due to the lauch of a new Alienware because of which the order is on hold at the factory.

 

Hence i would be closing the from my end.
