Dell Studio exchange

I recently received my Dell Studio 1558 laptop.
See the basic configuration below.

Studio 15 Laptop
Intel Core,i5-450M (2.4-2.66Ghz, 3M/4 threads)
6GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
15.6Inch Full High Definition (1080p) High Brightness LED Display with TrueLife and Camera
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470, 1GB
500GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Disk Drive

It had some fan noise and vibration issues so I called tech support. They sent a technician who replaced CPU fan and motherboard but the problem didn't go away. I called the tech support again and they offered me a exchange. But Dell is not providing the graphics card with 1558 now, so they offered me with an upgrade of RAM and HDD (8GB/640 GB). I was not very happy with the ATI card going away so they also offered me a Studio 1448 (which has a ATI card) with memory upgrade to 8 GB. So far so good! but wait, 1448 doesn't have a 1080p display! I have been using the 1080p since a week now and it's awesome!

so now I have 2 choices:
1. Studio 1558 (with upgraded memory and HDD but without 1 GB graphics card)
2. Studio 1448 (with upgraded memory but 14 inch screen and 720p resolution)

Any advice? :emotion-7:

Of course, I can also ask for a refund, but I wonder if I would get such configuration in $850.

BTW, that's what I paid (with taxes) for the 1558.

Doesn't sound like you're going to be happy with either.  Take the refund - the disappearance of the ATI chip is likely evidence the model will be replaced soon.
