Inspiron 17R Windows 7 Fan Issue
Hi
I bought a new 17R laptop and removed Windows 8 as I hated it. I have installed Win 7 Pro x64. I have installed all drivers from Dell website and updated BIOS.
My issue is that the fan comes on too often at full speed when just browsing web. I heard the new bios fixes that but in Windows 8 the fan was never this loud.
Any suggestions?

It is recommended to use the latest BIOS for your system and it may help in resolving the fan noise issue.
If you need help with the direct download link please post your full system model.Example 17R 5721.

Hi Nekromantik2013,
Please post the BIOS version installed on your system and also full system model.
Run the onboard hardware diagnostics(tap F12 on start up,Dell logo,select Diagnostics).
Post back error code/message if any.
Also could you check if there is a difference in fan noise, when using the system with only battery and using it with AC adapter connected.
