Resolution issues with Windows 8.1
I just switched my HDD to an SSD and re-downloaded Windows 8.1 and I am having issues with my resolution.
It only gives me 2 options for resolution, 3200 x 1800 and 1024 x 768 (which it says is recommended). When I switch it to 3200 x 1800, everything is tiny.
Where did my (3840 x 2160) resolution go? Why isnt' that an option? Any ideas on how to fix this?

Install the chipset drivers FIRST. Then reboot and install the Intel video driver. FInally reboot and install the nVidia driver.
All drivers for that model:

Sounds like you need to install the video drivers for your system - we can't do much beyond recommending that without knowing the system model (i.e., Inspiron 5521, etc.).

Thanks for the response EJN. I totally left out the most important information. I have the Dell XPS 15 9530

Thanks EJN I will do that now. When installing the chipset, I keep getting this error.

If the system has a solid state drive, that driver isn't needed.
