XPS 13 9350 display screen flashes

New unit delivered 04/27/16. I setup same day. Installed MS OFFICE 04/28/16. All was good. Battery good. Powered up 04/29/16  and got "dangerously low battery" warning. Attached power supply and clicked "continue" on warning window. A minute later display screen started alternating (full screen) white/red/green/blue/grey. Then just white/grey. Will not allow any other activity.
