finger print reader software dissapeared after dell updates
Hello,
I have a dell latitude e5470(win7 pro) and after update from Dell, all drivers and bios are up to date, no failure or warning on computer management but the Fingerprint reader software has dissapeared. I have followed the procedure on dell support website but it doesn t help.
Where can i download the fingerprint software?

Please check-in device manager to see if the fingerprint is detected or if there is any device listed as unknown.
Update the DDP|ST driver here http://dell.to/2wmRljN , control vault driver from this link http://dell.to/2vfk6tS followed by the firmware here http://dell.to/2wuXwlj

hi,
In device manager, i can see the fingerprint touch sensor under control vault device. (looks ok, no yellow or red warning)
I have installed the files from the 3 linkes and after this, still no fingeprint reader...What else can I do?
What s the link of the fingeprint software itself? Or do you have another software i can use for the fingerprint reader?

Not sure how I did but I went on Device manager, clicked on fingerprint touch sensor and chose to reinstall driver, then I select automatically look for it on my computer and it réinstalled a driver from March 2017 and it works.
There must be an ongoing bug in the Dell updates. Everytime i have the message from Dell popping up on my pc for me doing the dell updates, right after I lose the fingerprint reader....
