usb adapter to replace rj45 connection inspiron 640m not working

Hi - I just bought an adapter (from ebay) so my inspiron 640m could have a wired connection (the original rj45 port is broken). However, the laptop cannot find the drivers to make the piece of hardware work. Has anyone got any bright ideas??? the product number of the adapter is ky-qf9700. Hope you can help! Dave

You need to get the driver frm the manufacturer.

Thanks Tony,

I had a few problems with it - then strangley I tried a different ethernet port on the modem and after installing the drivers, its working fine!!!

Best,

Put your driver disk in and use window explorer to read the disk. Then go to USB.LAN,Qf9700Driver. Open folder and go to your OS folder and open. there will be an exe file to install the driver.......
