Laptop Power Supply Fuse Rating

What fuse should there be in the plug for a 130W PSU.

I have a 130W Power supply JU012.

I can have 3a, 5A or 13A Fuse. It's rated at 6.67A. So 3 and 5 don't seem enough and 13A too much.

Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.

6.7 amps is the output current @ 19.5 volts DC. What you want is the max input current @ 240 Volts AC (UK).

A 3 amp fuse is the right choice for that application.

Hi QPixx,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.

Not sure why you would need to replace a fuse in your power supply.  If it has blown the fuse, the best solution would be to replace the power supply.  It is not recommended to take the power supply apart to fix it.

Please send me your information in a Private Message so I can look into this further.  Thanks.

The fuse isn't in the power supply. It's in the power cable. In UK plugs can have 3, 5 or 13AMP fuse. What fuse should I get for a 130W PSU?

How do you send a private message? I have a dell g3 that made a pop noise while gaming and is running off only battery now it won't charge. Is there a internal fuse or something my charger still lights up.
