i have a Latitude 5591. it has a 256GB M2 SSD drive, but while there is a space for a 2.5" drive, there's no interface for it. it has the 68wh battery (larger form factor).
is it possible to add a 2.5" drive interface after the fact?
if so, does it require i step down to the smaller battery to fit the hard drive?
got it. thanks.
do you happen to know if the SSD slot will take a half-sized SSD card? the one that came with my system is a full length, but i may be getting a hand-me-down SSD that's twice the capacity but half the physical length.
it's out of warranty, but even if it was, it's a non-warranty issue.
You cannot mount both a 2.5" and an M.2 drive in the system together - it's one or the other.
If you need a 2.5" drive it must be external/USB.
