Latitude 7285 from outlet: inc WWAN capable but no installed hardware

Bought a 7285 2 in 1 from the Dell outlet with specs that said WWAN capable. Tested with my SIM and nothing happened, checked the bios and it says there is no WWAN hardware. Is this how it works with outlet devices or should I be looking for a refund or buying brand new? Thanks.

WWAN capable means simply that the SIM card socket is there -- along with the antennas for a WWAN card.  It doesn't mean a WWAN card is included -- in most cases, it's rare one would be unless the system were custom-ordered, as there's no one WWAN card that will work with all wireless carriers.  Check with your carrier to see what they support, and buy accordingly.

OK, I guess that's how it works. This is the first time I bought from the outlet so I assumed they were returns that were Dell certified but included all the listed components already installed. Thanks for the info.
