Latitude 7400 battery issue after 13 month of ownership

Purchased Latitude 7400 on Dec 21st 2020. Running a battery report shows that design capacity was 60002mWh with full charge capacity of 57008mWh. Over next 12 month period the battery full charge capacity gradually reduced to 38380mWa. That's 37% in 1 year!

At the same time, what started happening about 2 month ago is that battery would not charge to 100% all the time. Sometimes it would get stuck between 75% to 80%.

I have platinum service cover from DELL and they already replaced motherboard with charging port. It didn't help. Now they are saying that the problem is the battery itself.

I think its some software/config issue that doesn't let it charge to 100% sometimes.

Dell has stated before that average battery life, depending on use, is anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 years. Keeping that in mind it appears that your battery would be approaching that life expectancy in the last half of this year. This web page and this Dell support page has more information.
