Latitude History

I read with interest the postings of forum members, some with very old Latitude models and I am curious:

When did Dell start the Latitude series of laptops?

Which was the first model? Specs?

Wikipedia is incomplete on this - I can't find any official record of the first model, but a 486 model exists called the Dell Latitude 433C: https://youtu.be/j33U_hGGW1I and it's the oldest Latitude I personally have seen.
