Dell memory specs for the E6430 are: DDR3L SDRAM (1600MHz ) 2 slots supporting 2G, 4GB, 8GB DIMMs. The L in DDR3L stands for 1.35 volts.

Thanks, Iron, but is it ok to replace the current RAM of 1.5 volts with the suggested ones of 1.35 volts.

Best Regards,

DDR3 1.5 volt RAM will work with the system but at a lower performance.

If you replace the RAM with 1.35volt modules (DDR3L) as specd by Dell, you will get the best performance from the memory.

My E6430 is running 16GB (8 x 2) of DDR3L RAM
