There are many different part numbers and for some reason Dell does not have a parts list in any of there support documentation!!! "Just lazy or cheap"
If the "FHD" is already installed you could try looking up your configuration and see if there is a listing for the cable???
Yes i'm trying to upgrade to full hd, I bought a full hd screen for a e5540 that is a 40 pin and it goes to full hd but there is alot of lines and radom color shifting that is almost unreadable. Do you know what 30 pin cable i might need? TIA

The part number for LCD cable, with the following description ASSY,CBL,LVDS,N-TCH,W/O CAM
is JRNVV.
Do let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Welcome to the Dell Community @trane1217
Are you trying to upgrade to "Full HD" ???
I think the "FHD" is a 30 pin LCD ???
https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-15-6-LED-FHD-LCD-screen-replacement-for-DELL-E5540-DP-N-XNHVP-FHD-IPS/352453097231?hash=item520fd7770f%3Ag%3Agg0AAOSwPeVb9eZt%3Asc%3AUSPSPriority%2133711%21US%21-1&LH_ItemCondition=3
And I think the "JRNVV" is a 40 pin cable.

@trane1217
You should not need a 30 pin cable if the display panel is 40 pin.
What is the part number of the display panel that you purchased???
