Webcam on new XPS 13 9370 not working
I got my new XPS 13 with Ubuntu pre-installed and I noticed, that the webcam isn't working. It's enabled in the BIOS settings but not detected in Ubuntu. (lsbusb isn't showing the camera)

Can somebody confirm this? Will there be an Update?

I am currently dealing with support on this issue, one of the laptops I had was sent to engineering this week, hopefully they will figure out what they will do to fix it. I will try and update this post when I get my computer fixed. It is a firmware issue.

For me it works after a cold boot. After some time the kernel module "v4l2-core" crashes and the webcam is gone.

I find that the thing that triggers the webcam to disappear is putting the laptop to sleep.
