XPS 13 9350 Electric Noise from inside

Hello,

I have an XPS 13 9350 i7 notouch running Ubuntu 15.10 with Mainline Kernel 4.3.

There is an electrical noise coming out of the notebook. In my opinion this noise becomes louder as the temperature and load of the system increases. Also, this noise is also coupled into the audio jack, which is really annoying with headphones.

The noise is also coupled to the touchpad (clickpad), which is when I touch it, the pitch of noise changes. Also, it depends on what is displayed on the screen. In darktable, the noise changes whether or whether not the mouse arrow is over an image.

The noise most likely originates from the power regulator and the main coil.

Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know of this is due to Hardware or Software issues (does this also happen in Windows? I dont have it installed).

Also, any fixes are greatly appreciated :)

So it was a driver problem? That is surprising, I would have guessed a hardware issue. But good thing it is fixed for you now! Thanks for sharing solution.
