XPS13 9350 skylake no microphone on Ubuntu 16.04
Hi,
In sound settings there is no input device being recognised. Any pointers?

Did you do an upgrade of 16.04 or a fresh install? When I did an upgrade to 16.04 I had the same issue. I had to do a fresh install of 16.04 to get my microphone to show up.

Hi I went the upgrade route. Presumably a fresh install meaning starting from scratch on this laptop.

Could you post your /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf please so we can see what options are being passed to the modules

i have the same problem on my xps13 with ubuntu 16.04.
my alsa-base.conf:
